encontrei na net informação interessante de como ultrapassar um bios com password, por vezes dá imenso jeito :)

* MS-DOS - Diskete de boot e reiniciar o computador com ela. Inicia-se o programa debug e escreve-se os seguintes comandos:

o 70 2E
o 71 FF



* Linux - Abrir uma consola como root e escrever os seguintes comandos:


printf "\x2E" | dd bs=1 seek=112 of=/dev/port
printf "\xFF" | dd bs=1 seek=113 of=/dev/port

Impressoras...printers para software livre/FLOSS

Não gosto de impressoras de jacto de tinta, por isso até adquirir a minha laser, procurei bastante até encontrar a minha actual impressora, uma OKI B4100, apesar da OKI infelizmente não o indicar nas suas páginas, esta impressora é muito bem suportada em GNU/Linux, através do driver da HP1100.

Com um bocadito mais de euritos, vai-se para uma Kyocera, muito bem suportada.

In a survey of IT procurement officers from Germany, Great Britain, and the US/Canada, 59 percent of those in Germany said that they use OSS in their companies. The figures were far lower in Great Britain and the US/Canada at 48 and 38 percent, respectively.
