Synfig Animation Studio e a GNR

Por causa da notícia da GNR e o uso de software ilegal para fazer croquis, resolvi dar uma vista de olhos na net, para além dos já conhecidos, Krita, inkscape e qcad encontrei este fantástico programa.

A pergunta fica porque os senhores da GNR não usam software livre?
Assim ficariam livres das tais licenças manhosas....

Como a notícia da SIC, onde a li, não era esclarecedora sobre que o suposto software ilegal a GNR usava, resolvi perguntar à SIC qual seria.
Para minha surpresa o próprio jornalista que escreveu o artigo respondeu-me dizendo:

"Como nenhum está autorizado (com licença comprada) pelo Comando-geral são todos ilegais (a não ser que o próprio militar use um software comprado por ele a nível privado). Um deles é o Smart Sketch. http://www.intergraph.com/smartsketch/Downloads.asp (versão trial - 30 dias) No entanto, optei por não mencionar o nome de nenhum programa, porque não é possível saber se outros militares usam outros programas para o mesmo efeito. Há vários no mercado."

Espero que não leve a mal eu fazer paste do mail, mas ele conseguiu fazer a SIC subir um bocadinho na minha consideração.

Aproveitei ainda para enviar um mail à GNR, que infelizmente não usa nem Apache nem GNU/Linux ou um BSD nos seus servidores web, para que tivessem conhecimento do que é o Software Livre e para saberem que podem fazer o download e usarem sem medo o software referido acima.

Bush corta 77% no fundo de ajuda aos trabalhadores do 9/11

O pseudo-presidente dos USA cortou em 70% o fundo de ajuda aos trabalhadores que ajudaram nos atentados ao WTC em 9/11/2001.

Claro que para as diversas guerras em que estão a intervir tais como Afeganistão e Iraque existem sempre fundos e mais fundos.

New York lawmakers in Washington who have been persistently pressing the White House for increased funding for healthcare programs for ailing 9/11 World Trade Center workers were jolted last week when President George W. Bush's proposed budget slashed those programs by 77 percent.

Only last Wednesday, they pointed out, a White House spokesman had issued a statement that the president's 2009 budget would "reflect his continued commitment" to WTC workers. In reality, the budget issued appropriated a paltry $25 million, down from $108 million in the present spending plan.

"This dramatic and unwarranted cut flies in the face of common sense, compassion and just plain fairness," Senator Charles Schumer declared as he promised to "fight these cuts tooth and nail to ensure these heroes receive the health care they need and clearly deserve".

Encontrados vestígios de

Foram encontrados vestígios de Thermite nas poeiras das torres do WTC1/2, o que mais uma vez vem demonstrar que aqueles edifícios e o WTC7 foram sujeitos a demolições controladas.
Este tipo de material é usado em demolições controladas para cortar as colunas que sustentam um edifício, devido à sua alta temperatura e rapidez de actuação.

Infelizmente notícias destas não aparecem nos media!
